My son used it on his dog, who has short hair and was shedding real bad, he got a pile of hair off of him. I also used it on my dogs which have long hair and it worked great on them also. The FURminator deshedding tool sure helps to reduce the amount of hair that gets in your house! I have not tried the shampoo/conditioner yet. Thanks for a great product.
Review date : 2008-06-27 The FURminator is a great tool. We have a 10 year old Golden and our only regret is I didn’t buy it earlier. The waterless Shampoo works great and helps get the static out before brushing. It works so well, our neighbor has a short haired dog and was amazed at everything he was able to get out. Delivery was very speedy and the company was great. I would buy from them in a heartbeat.

Review date : 2008-09-01 I am not pleased that I received this product. It seems that Amazon.com just could not let me get by with ordering just the Fuminator and not the addition of shampoo. I guess I was just not paying enough money. I am not a professional groomer and could never bathe a cat. The Furminator I wanted but not the shampoo. If I had sent back the shampoo, I would have had to pay for shipping which is about the same as the product itself. Maybe I did not order correctly. I will take the cat to be professionally groomed and use the product at that time.
Review date : 2008-08-09 WHILE QUITE EXCITED ABOUT THE FURMINATOR BRUSHES, I FOUND THIS SHAMPOO TO BE ABOUT LIKE ANY OTHER DOG SHAMPOO. I have two pugs, who shed endlessly, and I would venture to say that the two products (and I also use the Furminator comb instead of a regular brush) cuts the amount of shed hair blowing around my floors and furniture in half or less. I don’t beleive anything completely stops shedding, but this helps tremendously. It has a light floral scent that fades within hours.

Review date : 2008-09-20 I recieved this in the mail a few days ago, and took the dog outside for a good grooming. I have a GSD (German Shepherd Dog), and he has a tremendous amount of undercoat, and sheds constantly. I have used the short tine rakes, and deshedders, with varying degrees of results. Trust me, this works like a charm! I was amazed. It took off all that light fuzzy unndercoat, and yes, the pictures of the amount of hair collected is TRUE! Harley stood and loved the grooming. It does NOT pull or hurt him, and I did not have to rake his coat hard. Figured, I did so well on the dog, it was the cat’s turn, and she loved it too. Great product!
