Fish Aquarium

Author: admin  //  Category: Uncategorized

A fish lovers work is never done, some of us that love and appreciate fish know this for a fact, the never ending search for new kinds of fish to place in our aquariums alone is enough to make some people tired already. The maintenance and energy that one needs to put into having an impressive aquarium in his house is something that easily equals a full time job. Nevertheless it is a passion that has touched many, and many more discover that there is something very special and unique to growing fish and having a fish aquarium of any size in your home.

Fish are very common pets when you think of it, in almost any pet shop you will find an abundance of fish, someone can foolishly think that this means that most people are familiar with the knowledge of growing them, it is not necessarily true. While most of the fish growers enthusiasm starts at a young age, and in fact most of the lovers of fish start as young boys and girls staring at the pet shop window wishing to get some fish, once you have a couple of fish you start realizing that you will have to do much more than just fill a tank of water and feed the fish every couple of days.

With this realization you would also understand that the sum of money that you have intended for this purpose is probably going to be a little bigger than what you initially planed, and form here the story starts. The passion is to have a unique aquarium that holds many different types of fish, to add as many features to the aquarium and make it as harmonious as possible, even as natural as possible to reflect a true way of living in a sense.

Since the fish market has much to offer a aquarium fish grower can almost never run out of more options to make his aquarium richer and more colorful, but also healthier and stronger. The race in the technology in providing better aquarium equipment that we maintain the aquarium needs better is never ending, the products are not very expensive at first but as you start to grow you aquarium to larger sizes you will need to invest wisely in the maintenance produces you use.

The last part of the article is devoted to the design of the aquarium, we have all seen those movies in which the bad guy has a huge aquarium with sharks swimming round in it, this is somewhat the average dream for the average fish grower, and although it is not probable that many growers will get this, some will, but everyone tries and makes their fish aquarium look better. The design of the aquarium has a lot to do with the person that has it, it is not only the basic design of the aquarium, but of what is in it, what it uses as an aquarium stand and the placing of the whole thing. A lot of effort goes into this part and I hope that when you spot a nice fish aquarium you let the owner know he is doing something right.

Natural Treatments to Rid Your Dog of Ticks and Fleas

Author: admin  //  Category: Uncategorized

Not only are ticks and fleas an annoyance for your dog and for you, unfortunately they can cause health problems. There are many different powders and sprays out there, but with their chemical-based formulas, they could be harmful to the pet’s health or to yours.

As we become increasingly conscious of the chemicals contained in many of the items we use for ourselves so more and more people are growing concerned about what is in the treatments they use for their dogs.

Don’t worry though those powders and sprays aren’t your only means of defense against these tiny and horrible tyrants. You can now fight them off with natural remedies that are safe for everyone and can be effective for your dog.

Do make sure to check out your local pet store. You will find that they offer many different products for your dog in respect of flea and tick care that are made from all natural ingredients. They have no chemicals that could be unsafe for your pets or family, but they have ingredients that are very effective in getting rid of the pesky pests.

They have powders and sprays with no harmful chemicals. You can find shampoos and special flea brushes to remove them from our dog’s coat. There are some treatments that you can apply directly to the dog’s skin that won’t harm the dog in any way, but will kill the fleas.

Another option is the special-made flea collar that helps repel the fleas but doesn’t have any harsh chemicals that could seep through the dog’s skin so there’s no risk with other pets coming in contact with the collar.

Keep your dog and your home clean. Bathe your dog at least once a week and brush out their fur daily if possible. Vacuum the carpets in your home and keep the pet’s bedding clean as much as possible.

Fleas and ticks thrive in warm, humid areas and they will lay their eggs in these places, so it’s best to vacuum these areas often. You can use products like borax or some dry powdered laundry detergents to sprinkle on the carpets to let sit for a few minutes. This kills the fleas and their eggs, so you can vacuum them up and be rid of them. Make sure your pets and any children aren’t around when you do it. They’re not known to be harmful, but it’s always best to be safe.

There are some homemade treatments that many pet owners claim to work very well. I would also recommend that you consult your veterinarian to make sure these treatments really are safe. Please alway use these treatments with caution.
It’s also very important that you keep your lawn mowed and keep any foliage within the yard trimmed back, so the fleas have a tougher time getting to your dog.

If you take all of the preventative measures possible, you can eliminate the need for chemical-based treatments that could be harmful for your dog. Along with that, use environmentally safe products and your dog will be much healthier.

Taking Your Dog To The Beach For The First Time

Author: admin  //  Category: Uncategorized

There are few places your dog is happier than at a beach. Swimming, running, hiking, fetching, digging - yes, indeed a beach has it all for a dog. But there are some things you need to keep in mind to make sure your dog returns from his first visit to the beach safe and sound.

• The majority of dogs can swim and love it, but dogs entering the water for the first time should be tested; never throw your dog into the water. Start in shallow water and call your dog’s name - or try to coax him in with a treat or toy. Always keep your dog within reach.

• Another way to introduce your dog to the water is with a dog that already swims and is friendly with your dog. Let your dog follow his friend.

• If your dog begins to doggie paddle with his front legs only, lift his hind legs and help him float. He should quickly catch on and will keep his back end up.

• Swimming is a great form of exercise, but don’t let your dog overdo it. He will be using new muscles and may tire quickly

• Be careful of strong tides that are hazardous for even the best canine swimmers.

• Cool ocean water is tempting to your dog. Do not allow him to drink too much sea water. Salt in the water will make her sick. Salt and other minerals found in the ocean can damage your dog’s coat so regular bathing at the shore is important.

• Check with a lifeguard for daily water conditions - dogs are easy targets for jellyfish and sea lice.

• Dogs can get sunburned, especially short-haired dogs and ones with pink skin and white hair. Limit your dog’s exposure when the sun is strong and apply sunblock to his ears and nose 30 minutes before heading for the sand.

• If your dog is out of shape, don’t encourage him to run on the and. Running on the beach is strenuous exercise and a dog that is out of shape can easily pull a tendon or ligament.

That’s about it - so grab a leash and hit the beach!

Cheap Frontline Flea and Tick Treatment - Deal or No Deal?

Author: admin  //  Category: Uncategorized

“Cheap Frontline Flea and Tick Medicine Available”

“Best Price For Frontline Flea and Tick Control”.

“Cheapest Offer For Frontline Flea and Tick Killer”

These adverts could easily be found if you do a search for frontline flea and tick products. With it’s increasing popularity, they can easily be purchased anywhere, from your veterinarian, pet shops and conveniently online. With so many great offers, it’s no doubt that pet owners like to make a comparison on the prices and tendency is that they will go for a supply with the lowest price offered. However with the increasing number of counterfeits available in the market now, is it a wise choice to just simply go for one, base solely on price alone?

Many of these frontline flea and tick medicine counterfeits look very much like the genuine ones with regard to the packaging and it may be difficult to tell the difference if one is not familiar with the product at all. As such many unsuspecting buyers, especially first-time consumers are very likely to be caught unaware.

These products are pesticides, and therefore, are very carefully regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Because they are systemic products, which travel through the blood stream of the treated cat or dog, it is extremely important to read the labels carefully, and to follow the directions completely; i.e., avoid “off-label” use.

One major problem with these counterfeits version of the pesticides is that the labeling may differ enough from the genuine products. The packaging may also omit certain important cautionary material, so that the wrong dosage may actually be used. Many of these bogus frontline flea and tick medication have been repackaged in countries outside the U.S. They are usually just relabeled to appear to be the genuine article, and then illegally imported back into the U.S. for sale to unsuspecting buyers. The main problem lies in the relabelling and often mislabelling and these may include one or more of the following:

The proper usage and warnings statements may not be stated on the labelThe proper dosage and weight requirements of the pet may not be reflected on the label. The label may have confusing instructions regarding the dosage and weight of the pet because it uses the metric system rather than conventional US measurements. The label may not include the manufacturer i.e. Merial’s special toll-free number for customers to call with questions about FRONTLINE products and to seek help in occurrence of side effects

All this may end up putting pets treated at high risk of under dose or overdose and the resulting side effects can be fatal. However, having said that, a monthly treatment using this product to get rid of fleas and ticks effectively can be a financial strain on pet owners and the urge to buy from cheap sources of supply will always remain attractive. As such, it’s important that you learn to recognize and differentiate the genuine ones from the counterfeits. Crisis Checklist: Saving Your Pet’s Life When Disaster Strikes

Author: admin  //  Category: Uncategorized

Help could not come soon enough for the residents of New Orleans and the surrounding Gulf areas. But for devoted animal owners rescue came at a price…leave your pet behind. Having a plan in place before disaster strikes can save both you and your pet’s lives. Here’s what to do now.

General Helpful Hints

1 If you live in an apartment, consider putting an “animals inside” sign on your door. In case of fire, your pet’s chances of survival may increase if the firemen know.

2 Keep carrying cases, leads, etc. in an easily accessible location. If you must leave quickly, time spent looking for these items is time lost.

Know Your Neighbors

The help of a good neighbor can sometimes be your first line of defense.

1. Exchange your house or apartment key with a trusted neighbor. Exchanging keys with a neighbor offers the benefit of proximity. Should an unexpected crisis arise, your neighbor can reach your pets quickly. Friends or family may not know about the problem until it is too late.

2. Make a Plan. Discuss what to do in case of emergency. Do you have a cell phone? Make certain your neighbor has the number as well as any additional telephone numbers where you can be reached such as work or family. Write them on an index card in bold, large print, and laminate it.

3. Fido, Buffy, Max, Celia, Snorky… If you have more than one pet, make certain your neighbor has the following information:

a. The Number of Pets You Have. If they know how many pets they need to find, chances increase greatly all will be rescued.

b. What Type of Animals You Have. If Celia is a goldfish and your neighbor is looking for a dog, Celias’ chances of rescue drop. Make certain you are clear regarding the type of animal your neighbor should find.

c. Location of Pets In Your Home. This is important for caged animals such as birds, snakes, hamsters, etc. Do you keep your dog penned in the backyard? Let them know. The less time your neighbor spends searching for your pets, the more time they have to get them out quickly and safely.

d. Hi. My Name Is… If your neighbor can’t find your pet, they may respond if their names are called. Will they come when you whistle? Tell your neighbor. The more specific information they have, the better your pet’s chance of rescue.

On the Road Again

Before you leave for a vacation or an extended trip, talk with the person who will be caring for your pets. Make certain it is someone you trust such as a responsible family member, friend, or neighbor. If you use a pet sitting service, check their credentials before you leave. Ask for names of other clients who have used their services and call them to see if they were pleased. Better to know before you go rather than returning to an unpleasant surprise.

Discuss specifically what your sitter would do if a crisis arises and always leave contact numbers where you can be reached (hotel, cell phone, etc).
Points to consider:

1. If a problem occurs, will your sitter take your pets until you return? If not, give them the name and telephone number of a friend, family member, kennel or doggy spa they can contact to take your pets.

2. If an evacuation occurs, will your sitter take your pets?

3. In case of evacuation, give your sitter the telephone number of a family member or friend outside the effected area who can act as a contact. If you and your sitter cannot reach each other, you can each call the contact who can help relay information.

4. If one must leave the area, prearrange with family or friends within driving distance to take your pets. If you have more than one pet, ask in advance to make certain they can house all of them. If not, find others who can.

Name, Rank and Serial Number

Make certain your pets have proper identification. Include your last name and telephone number as well as the pet’s name on the ID tag. If you have one, consider using a cell phone number in case you and your pet are separated and you can’t go home.

Your Little Black Book

Begin collecting important telephone numbers and information now so you have them if you need them. To gather this information, conduct an Internet search for your area or contact animal associations such as the ASPCA or The Humane Society. Your list should also include your vet and a 24 hour animal hospital.

1. Pet Friendly Shelters: Many shelters may not accept pets in need of a temporary safe haven, but some do. Find the ones in your areas just in case.

2. Dog Friendly Lodging: Should you be displaced, know where to go. If you can’t reach friends or family, the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of hotels and motels which accept pets can be a life saver.

3. Animal Rescue Centers. Even the best laid plans go astray. If this happens, call your local animal shelter or vet and ask if they can provide assistance. If you have more than one pet, confirm that they will be able to take them all.

4. Here are a few starting points for more information.

If You Must Evacuate

If the situation becomes so dire you must leave, consider the following. Generally, time is of the essence.

1. Leave as quickly as possible and take your pets with you! Don’t leave your pets behind thinking you can return and get them. Very often, you will not be permitted to return until the crisis is over.

2. If you are driving, load up the animals and hit the road. If you can’t take your pets where you are going, use your back up family member or friend plan first. Then your dog friendly lodging or rescue shelter options. If worse comes to worse, you may be able to find someone along the way who can help you.

3. If you cannot take your pet(s) to a safe place and you MUST evacuate, help improve your pet’s chances to stay alive. Make certain dogs are unchained or uncaged. Pets left alone will rely on their natural instincts to survive.

Grooming Your Horse - Easy Steps

Author: admin  //  Category: Uncategorized

Regular grooming of your horse is a necessary horse care chore. Whether you view grooming as a “chore” or an enjoyable activity, bare in mind you’re not only keeping your horse’s coat looking healthy and shiny, but grooming allows you to further develop trust and bonding with your horse. Also, regular grooming can alert you to any signs of skin diseases, infections, or injuries. Your horse will appreciate the time and attention he is receiving from you while being groomed, and will look great as well.

Grooming your horse does not have to be long and laborious. With the right tools and established routine, you can be done in no time. For starters, keep all of your horse’s grooming tools in a carry container so they are easy to find and so you don’t have to go running back and forth to look for and fetch the tool you need.

Common items you will want to keep in your horse’s grooming kit include:

soft, medium, stiff bristle brushes
mane and tail detangler
hoof pick
insect repellent
rubber currycomb
mane comb
towel
shedding blade
sponge
hoof dressing
grooming mitt
conditioner

Groom your horse in an open area and secure him using a halter and lead rope by tying him loosely to a post or railing using a quick release knot. This way, should your horse panic and bolt, this will lessen the risk of injury to both of you.

Where do you begin grooming? Some people start with the hooves, while some start with the head, and others simply start somewhere in between. It really doesn’t matter where you start, it’s the fact you are taking the time to care for your horse that counts.

My preference is to start with the hooves. Using a hoof pick, remove any debris starting with the heel moving toward the toe. Use a brush to remove any remaining dirt.

Using a damp sponge, gently clean around your horse’s eyes, muzzle and ears. You can carefully use a very soft bristle brush to brush along the face and forelock areas if your horse will let you. I prefer just using a grooming mitt and my hand.

Using a rubber currycomb, use soft circular motions from the top of your horse’s neck down toward his shoulders. Then use a brush to remove the dirt loosened by the curry comb.

Use the rubber currycomb to loosen dirt on your horse’s body by using smooth circular strokes. Be careful in bony areas such as the shoulders and back. To loosen dirt, it is best to go against the grain of the hair. Next, use a brush in a downward direction to flick away dirt loosened by the currycomb. Once most of the dirt is removed, use a body brush to flatten out and smooth the hair using long sweeping strokes.

Just as with your horse’s face, take care when brushing his legs as they are bony and have tender skin. Use a soft brush on your horse’s legs. I prefer to simply use my hands or use a grooming mitt.

Using a mane comb, gently comb through your horse’s mane. Using a little bit of detangler first helps when combing out the mane. Don’t force out tangles with the comb and pull out hairs, instead remove tough tangles with your hands. Use a stiff brush from underneath to further comb out the mane, followed by a soft brush to lay it back down.

Just like the mane, spraying your horse’s tail with detangler will make brushing it easier. Use a stiff brush to clean and brush the tail. Use your hands to remove tough tangles and avoid breaking hairs. Use a body brush from top to bottom of the tail a few times to make it flowing.

Use a towel and wipe it over your horse’s coat to help bring out the shine. You can spray the towel with conditioner to bring out more of the shine. During the summer months, it’s a good idea to apply an application of fly repellent all over your horse.

Apply hoof dressing to help keep your horse’s hooves moisturized.

Give your horse a small treat when you are done grooming him to further show your appreciation of him. Regular grooming with the same routine will cut down the time needed and will make it more enjoyable for both you and your horse.

Why Cat Urine Stains Smell Worse in Warm Weather

Author: admin  //  Category: Uncategorized

Here in the U.S., spring has finally arrived. If you’ve had a cat urine odor problem since last fall or winter, and thought you’d cleaned up each puddle thoroughly, you may be discovering otherwise now the heat and humidity have returned.

This article briefly describes the different components in cat urine, and why it smells so much worse in warmer weather. This article also discusses the most effective cleaning solution to get rid of the odor and stain permanently.

Cat urine stains are tough to get rid of because it has five different bacteria strains. Two of these are associated with the cat’s marking scent. The others are in the cat spray, urine, and uric acid.

The sticky, tacky part of cat urine is urea. The pigment is urochrome, and then there are the uric acid crystals, which look like salt.

The first two components clean up rather easily. It’s the uric acid with it’s crystals and salt that linger, causing the continuous cat urine odor. These crystals are insoluble, and bond tightly to anything they land on. This is why you can’t successfully eliminate cat urine odor with common household cleaners.

The crystals are reactivated with moisture. And this is why the cat urine smell is stronger in hot weather - the humidity in the air reacts with the crystals, and you once again smell the cat urine stain - even though you’ve cleaned and cleaned that particular spot.

In order to completely eliminate the smell and stain, the crystals have to be removed from the surface they’re sticking to. The only effective cleaning solution is a pet enzyme cleaner that’s specifically manufactured to attack the cat urine components.

These cleaners are special enzyme formulas that consume the bacterial components - which finally removes the smell and stain. Common household cleaners don’t contain enzymes, because most messes don’t have uric acid in them.

There are several reputable pet enzyme cleaners available at your local pet store. Read the instructions carefully and follow them completely for best results. If the stain is very old, it will take several applications to completely eradicate the stain and odor.

Hypoglycemia - A Common Problem -Imperial/Teacup Shih Tzu/Items to Have on Hand for a New Puppy

Author: admin  //  Category: Uncategorized

Hypoglycemia (Low Blood Sugar) and
Items to have ready for new puppy arrival

One of the main things a new owner needs to take precautions against is a new puppy developing hypoglycemia or low blood sugar. Hypoglycemia can occur without much warning and within hours of a puppy going to a new home, missing a meal, or does not eat full meals, gets chilled, overtired or exhausted from too much handling or playing. It occurs more in the toy breeds, but can also occur in larger breeds. Signs are a depressed affect or mood, weakness, wobbly gait, jerky, lethargic. The neck may get stiff. The head may appear to be tilted to either the left or right and teeth may be clamped tightly together. These are all signs this puppy is having a drop in their sugar level and if left untreated will progress to convulsions, seizures or coma and can then be fatal.

If any of these symptoms are present, take your puppy to the nearest vet or animal emergency center. If this is not possible or on the way to the vet, if you have white Karo syrup or can get this quickly. Mix the white Karo syrup with water and place on the puppy’s tongue with a dropper or just place some syrup on your finger and rub on the puppy’s gums. Do not put excessive amounts in the puppy’s mouth, as the puppy can choke. Nutri-cal is the best to keep in a household of canines or puppies. Nutri-cal gives quick results and gets into the bloodstream within seconds. Dosage instructions is on the tube. You can give Nutri-cal using a syringe. Take out the plunger, place the opening of the Nutri-cal tube at the opening of the syringe and squeeze in the Nutri-cal to the specified dosage. Then squirt it a small amount at a time into the puppy’s mouth. If your puppy has had a low blood sugar attack, using Pedyalite instead of water helps with any dehydration.

Prevention:

Add one tqblespoon of honey or sugar to every 16 ounces of water. Keep plain drinking water available as well. Leave food out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for a puppy just arriving home up until at least 12 weeks of age and sometimes beyond this if the puppy is a very tiny size. Never feed chocolate, fried foods or milk. Do not allow puppy to become over-chilled or tired. Let your new puppy rest and become acustomed to his new home. Give puppy Nutri-cal, about one inch every 6 hours for at least 48 hours in a new home and if you begin to see puppy acting very lethargic, give Nutri-cal.

What should you have ready for a new puppy:

Food breeder had puppy on.

If you plan to change puppy’s food, you still need to have a small bag of breeder’s brand to mix with your brand until you have weaned puppy off breeder’s brand of food.

Always keep Nutri-cal

Water Bottles

A Housebreaking Crate

Soft Blankets and Quilts

Non-slip steel bowls (a good brand can be found at Flint River Ranch

Accessories Section on web site at stainglassshihtzupremiumpetfood.citymax.com

Gourmet Dental Treats from HealthyPetNet

Ear Care Formula (I strongly recommend the formula from HealthyPetNet)
Brushes, combs and a good tearless shampoo

These are just a few items to have ready for the arrival of a new puppy. Ask your breeder for anything else he/she would recommend you have. Most important is to have the Nutri-cal and to give Nutri-cal especially to the tiny toy breeds.

How to Train a Dog

Author: admin  //  Category: Uncategorized

Dogs truly can be a man’s best friend. They can be a fantastic addition to your life not only for yourself but also for your family. Dogs can interact with children and teach them some valuable social skills and develop their confidence levels. However knowing how to train a dog is a hugely important thing that you must know, this is even more important if you do have children.

Dogs can be very temperamental and need to be trained properly so that they can control their temper. If this is done correctly, then your dog will be a well behaved, caring dog who will be safe around your family.

A main part of training your dog is called positive reinforcement which involves using dog treats to reward your dog when they do what you ask them to. This is simple enough to do, but you must know how to react if your dog doesn’t do what you ask.

Most people make the mistake of shouting at their dogs and getting angry if the dog misbehaves or is being disobedient. The problem with reacting like this is that your dog will pick up on these reactions and can mirror your emotions. The same principle applies when your dog is barking, if you react to this by shouting at your dog then you are not really helping the situation. Your dog may interpret this as you barking back in agreement with them which means they do not realise they are doing anything wrong.

Keep in mind that dogs will bark, it is their way of communicating. The only time that a dog barking should concern you is if they continue barking at people for a long time after first seeing them. Also if they appear to be barking at things for no reason. Dogs are usually barking for attention or if they sense a problem. If they are seeking attention then you are best to leave them alone and not pay them attention because if you give them what they want, it will stick in their mind that to get attention they bark.

You can introduce certain exercises and practices to train your dog. Exercises such as walking them around objects such as cones and markers and getting them to sit at certain points will help with their discipline.

A simple game of hide and seek with a dog treat can be good for your dog. Hide a treat somewhere and let them find it, not only is this good exercise but they will be developing them excellent sense of smell. They also receive a treat when they complete the task and get attention and love from you.

Overall dog training takes time and patience, but if you can stick with it then the rewards will speak for themselves as the dog grows older.

Selecting an Obedience Class

Author: admin  //  Category: Uncategorized

Some obedience classes are slanted towards providing instruction, which will lead towards acquiring a C.D. title on your dog. Instructors of such a class often require a strict adherence to details regarding the obedience commands. Often they have their own set of beliefs regarding instruction and will not be willing to allow handlers to stray from the techniques they themselves espouse. For example such instructors either will allow treats or not and do not allow the participants of the class to do anything other than what they request, at least within the class.

Other obedience instructors are interested in providing to the general public a class for “pet dogs” which will involve very basic skills and do not expect that the participant will go on to achieve titles on the dog. These classes are often available through such markets as the chains of dog stores or vets offices. Usually these classes have a wide level of expertise on the part of the attendees. Unfortunately, many of these classes often have so many enrollees that individual instruction is at a premium.

Some instructors are geared towards a positive approach to training while others are very strict and believe strongly that a no nonsense approach to dog training requires a very alpha presence. Often this means that the trainer prefers not to give treats and uses methods of physical persuasion often called “jerk and pull” methods. Some may even advocate the use of shock collars or dominant methods as far as teaching the dog the down position.

Some classes are geared strictly towards the young dog and are often called “puppy kindergarten classes”. These classes often require a limit on the age of attendance and provide for an off leash play period for the dogs and for shorter periods of time spent in actual practice of the exercises. Normally these classes should have fewer attendees.

Some obedience instructors take on too many students and do not have time to offer individual help when needed. Others may “play favorites” and spend an inordinate amount of time with one or two students, ignoring the rest. Some talk more than they instruct, a common complaint of many attendees of dog obedience classes. Some instructors may know a great deal about dogs or about their own breed but know very little about instruction of people. Such instructors may not be able to establish a rapport with the people that they are instructing and this may make the class less desirable to inexperienced owners who need extra support from the instructor.

The actual physical environment of the class is also important. Some classes are taught in hazardous conditions for the dog, such as empty garages or shop buildings. Some classes do not require that children be supervised and there may be toddlers running about and interfering with instruction. Some areas where classes are taught are outside and have to be canceled or postponed in inclement weather.

The wise owner will take all of these factors into consideration before enrolling in an obedience class. If this is done, there is a much better chance that he will have had a valuable experience, which has contributed to his expertise as a dog handler.
